Michael Eastman grew up in Mayville, North Dakota, and he obtained a bachelor’s degree from Mayville State University. He went on to study aeronautical science at the University of North Dakota, where he obtained his pilot’s license. Mike worked as a Flight Paramedic in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, where he was instrumental in developing a program for organizing nationwide and international critical care air transports utilizing Lear Jets. Mike also worked as a paramedic in Fresno and Las Vegas.
In 1996, Mike won one of three statewide Nevada Healthcare Scholarships from the University of Nevada – Reno School of Medicine. He then enrolled at the University of Washington Physician Assistant Training Program, where he obtained his Physician Assistant Certification.
In his first six years after training, Mike worked as a Hospitalist in Internal Medicine for an endocrinologist, Dr. James Snyder, where he also participated in several clinical research studies. Mike still finds great enjoyment in participating in clinical research. Mike began working in pain management in 2002, stationed in Las Vegas, but frequently flying to underserved communities such as Ely and Laughlin, NV, Bullhead City, and Kingman, AZ. He moved to Boise in 2009 to work in the Comprehensive Spine and Pain Center at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. Mike returned to Las Vegas in 2016, when he joined the team Innovative Pain Care Center.
Mike feels privileged to have served our country by serving in the Army National Guard and Ready Reserves for a total of 14 years, separating in 1992 as a Platoon Sergeant in an Army Field Medical Unit. Mike enjoys riding bicycles and lifting weights. He has taken classes on cabinet making and wants to further his skills in woodworking. Mike loves living in Las Vegas, and he enjoys serving the people in our community.
