Ryan M. West, D.O.

Dr. Ryan West earned his Bachelor of Science degree cum laude in Kinesiology from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and his medical degree from Rocky Vista University in Colorado. He continued his training with a medical internship and residency in Family Medicine at Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center in Las Vegas, NV. Dr. West then went on to a Postgraduate Fellowship in Pain Management at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX.

Dr. West served eight years in the United States Air Force as a physician and provided care to thousands of military members, their families, and retirees from all branches of service. He was most recently stationed at Nellis Air Force Base, where he helped to establish their first pain clinic and served as the medical director for two years. During his military career, he spent six months deployed to the Middle East, where he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for his efforts in providing outstanding care to deployed service members.

Dr. West is a member of the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine and the American Academy of Pain Management. He has been involved in academics throughout his career and has taken on many teaching roles, including as an adjunct faculty member for the Nellis Family Medicine program. He has presented at conferences throughout the country, educating physicians and other healthcare providers on pain medicine topics.

During his free time, Dr. West enjoys exploring the outdoors with his family through hiking, camping, fishing, and other activities. He also enjoys playing all types of sports and enjoys living an active lifestyle.
