Our Pain Management Services

Medical Evaluations & Physical Examinations

Each new patient will undergo an in-depth consultation with a Medical Doctor, at which time a detailed history and physical exam will be performed. This evaluation will focus on finding the source of the pain in order to establish a working diagnosis so that a comprehensive treatment plan can be initiated. A treatment plan will be devised and will involve the patient’s input. Regular follow-up visits with a provider will be required to determine the ongoing effectiveness of the plan.

Block Treatments

We offer a comprehensive range of block treatments to address various pain concerns. Brachial Plexus Blocks are tailored interventions administered with local anesthesia or sedation, utilizing guided imaging techniques for precise medication delivery to the affected area, offering immediate relief. Our specialization includes Axillary Blocks for hand, wrist, and forearm issues and Interscalene Blocks for neck-related concerns. For intense abdominal pain, our celiac plexus block interrupts nerve signals within the gastrointestinal region, complementing an anesthetic with medications like corticosteroids or alcohol for sustained pain management. The Cervical Selective Nerve Root Block is a targeted epidural steroid injection designed to alleviate shoulder, upper back, neck, and arm pain, while also aiding in the diagnosis of disc problems or nerve root inflammation.

Steroid Injections

Different steroid injections target specific spinal areas to address various sources of pain and discomfort. Caudal steroid injections relieve chronic lower back and leg pain by targeting the lowest segment of the epidural space. Cervical epidural steroid injections alleviate neck pain caused by spinal nerve root irritation and inflammation. Sacroiliac joint injections manage lower back pain stemming from sacroiliac joint dysfunction by administering steroids directly into the joint. Transforaminal injections mitigate inflammation and swelling of spinal nerve roots, relieving associated pain and numbness. Each injection type is valuable for diagnosing and treating specific spinal issues.

Medication Management

In our approach to managing chronic pain, we prioritize the judicious use of medication. While over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medications typically serve as the initial line of treatment, our medical professionals may also prescribe corticosteroids or potent prescription medications, such as Morphine, if deemed necessary. However, our commitment lies in minimizing pharmaceutical interventions by advocating for suitable alternative techniques whenever feasible.
