Willis Y. Wu, M.D.

Dr. Willis Wu received his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Duke University with a minor in chemistry. He went to Drexel University College of Medicine for his medical degree after a year of working in medical research at the University of California-Irvine. After completing one year of internal medicine internship, he pursued his residency training in anesthesiology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. Subsequently, he completed his fellowship training as an interventional pain specialist at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Dr. Wu is currently board-certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. He is also a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the Clark County Medical Society.

Dr. Wu is the author of a case report published in the prestigious anesthesia journal Anesthesiology in January 2013. He specializes in interventional techniques in pain management. He is also a firm believer in a multi-modal approach to pain management, combining injection treatment with physical therapy, chiropractic treatment, and medications.

Dr. Wu considers Los Angeles, California as his hometown even though he was born and raised in Taiwan. He reads and speaks Mandarin Chinese fluently. During his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, running, riding a spin bike, snowboarding, and target shooting. He is also a DIYer when it comes to home improvement. On the entertainment side, Dr. Wu enjoys watching sports and movies and playing competitive video games.
